The Victorian Public Sector Commission regularly runs ‘Integrity for public board directors: what you need to know’.
This 1-hour webinar is designed to enhance the ability of directors of Victorian public boards to conduct their work with integrity.
This session will cover the key expectations of public board directors in Victoria including:
- upholding the Code of Conduct for Directors
- restrictions on lobbying by board directors
- managing conflicts of interest and duty
- handling gifts, benefits and hospitality
- making public comments appropriately
- abiding by the public sector employment principles and complying with executive employment policy.
Victorian public board members should attend this event at least once during the term of their appointment, but we have different speakers for each event – all of whom are experienced public sector board directors and/ or executives – and discussions are always varied so repeat attendees are very welcome.
Schedule
‘Integrity for public board directors: what you need to know’ runs 3 times per financial year.
The next webinar will take place on Tuesday 22 October 2024, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
Registrations for the October event will open in late September.
Event format
Webinars are held online via Zoom. Participants will be sent the event information upon registering.
